It is presumed that the project was used to harness genesium in the creation of “Gen Cores” or somehow involved in the construction of the sky arcologies that go on to save humanity, since one of the participating scientists (Dr. Elena Kovic) speaks about saving humanity, placing her in the time of the Cataclysm, Ascension or shortly after or before.
