Summary

Episode 146 of Cafe Rise covers a broad range of exciting updates and plans for the upcoming period in the Rise game universe, focusing on the holiday season, new builds, gameplay enhancements, and community engagement initiatives. The hosts begin with casual greetings and drinks before diving into the core topics: the upcoming Christmas sale, imminent game builds, the introduction of questing and property building systems, improvements to network nodes, and competitive events.

The Christmas sale is described as a special, limited-quantity event aimed at rewarding loyal community members with unique in-game assets, including new vehicles (notably the first purchasable X-Class racer), weapons, outfits, and festive-themed items. This sale also serves as a trial run for scaling the asset pipeline to meet future mainstream gamer expectations for variety and options, particularly as the game prepares for larger launches on platforms like Steam and Epic.

The next game build is imminent, targeting a release within days, and includes major performance optimizations such as a 50% data compression on player data streams, which promises smoother gameplay and faster load times. The most significant new feature in this build is the introduction of the questing system, designed initially as an onboarding tool to guide new players through core mechanics like acquiring clothes, earning credits, and navigating game areas. This first iteration includes “level sequences,” a form of interactive cutscenes that maintain player control, and several simple quests with objectives such as collecting containers or items, providing about 4-6 hours of gameplay.

Looking ahead, the quest system will expand to include more complex, narrative-driven quests involving puzzles and extended storylines, akin to traditional MMORPG questing, planned for next year. The quest system integrates tightly with other game mechanics like inventory, player leveling, and eventually skill trees and perks, promising deep player progression and engagement.

Another upcoming feature is the apartment builder, enabling players to customize their personal spaces by adding walls and assets, expected to arrive in a build before Christmas. Additionally, more drones—both medium and heavy classes—will be introduced, although balance adjustments are ongoing to prevent any one drone class from overpowering gameplay.

The hosts also discuss the Aerot Trails competition, a current event running through mid-December that challenges players to complete various jetpack racing trails across different in-game locations. The competition features leaderboards and Rise token prizes, encouraging players to experiment with different jetpacks optimized for vertical or horizontal speed.

Node operators receive updates on reward distribution shifting from COPI to Rise tokens and a reduction in the minimum number of nodes required to run a public pool from eight to six, aimed at increasing node pool operators ahead of the game’s mainstream launch. A limited-time holiday node sale offering a “three for two” deal is announced to encourage more community participation in network security and decentralization.

The episode concludes with community Q&A, addressing questions about crafting specialized ammunition with unique effects, the pace of monthly game builds, future pet and animal systems, and continued improvements to avatar customization and jetpack mechanics. The hosts emphasize the long-term vision of the game as a “forever game,” continuously evolving with player feedback and new content while empowering the community to create quests and other content in the future.

Key Insights

🎮 Strategic Onboarding via Questing: The introduction of a questing system as an onboarding mechanism addresses one of the game’s critical barriers to entry—new player orientation. By providing guided, interactive objectives integrated with the inventory and leveling systems, the developers are lowering the learning curve and enhancing early engagement, which is crucial for retention and long-term community growth.

⚙️ Performance Optimization as a Foundation for Scale: The 50% data reduction per player achieved through code streamlining and data compression is a significant technical milestone. This optimization not only improves current player experiences with faster load times and smoother gameplay but also prepares the infrastructure to support a larger player base as the game moves toward Steam and Epic launches.

🎨 Asset Pipeline Challenges Reflect Growth: The limited quantities in the Christmas sale reveal a current bottleneck in asset production. While this scarcity rewards loyal players, it highlights a key operational challenge: the need to scale asset creation to meet mainstream expectations of diversity and cosmetic options. Successfully overcoming this will be vital for the game’s commercial success and market competitiveness.

🕹 Interconnected Gameplay Loops Foster Deep Engagement: The developers are intentionally designing systems—questing, crafting, inventory management, combat, and property building—that interact and build upon each other. This layered system design creates intricate gameplay loops, offering players creative freedom and sustained motivation through progression, rewards, and personalization.

🌐 Node Network Expansion Critical for Launch: Reducing node requirements from eight to six and incentivizing node operators through sales and rewards indicate a strategic push to strengthen the game’s decentralized infrastructure. This is essential not only for network stability but also for meeting technical prerequisites of major platform launches, emphasizing the importance of community participation in backend operations.

🏆 Community-Driven Competitions Enhance Player Engagement: The Aerot Trails competition exemplifies how event-driven gameplay can energize the player base while showcasing game features like jetpacks and racing mechanics. Offering token rewards ties competition outcomes to tangible in-game and economic benefits, fostering a vibrant competitive scene.

🔮 Future-Proofing with Player Empowerment: Plans to enable community-created quests and content signal a long-term vision of player agency and co-creation. Empowering players to contribute to the game world not only enriches content diversity but also strengthens community bonds and the game’s sustainability as a “forever game.”

00:00:00 - 00:02:33 Heat up here. Hey everybody, welcome to Cafe Rise. Good to be here. Uh good to have you all watching. And uh this is episode number 146. We've got some exciting stuff to chat through. Um, we got the very mythical Christmas sale, the next build, which is not too far off. Uh, minor updates on on little things here and there. Um, Aerot Trails competition and some announcements about the nodes. So, uh, of course, questions and a leak as always. Rob, what are you drinking today? >> Um, today I am drinking good old York tea in a grou cup. >> Hey. All right. I too am drinking tea. >> Not much left though. I've nearly finished it. Tea. Lemon tea in a can. >> Yeah. >> Tea. Tea in a can. >> Black peach tea. >> Black peach tea. >> Yeah. It's pretty good. >> Yeah. It's got some fuzzies in it. Some carb carbonation. >> All right. Here we go. >> Yeah. No, it's it's not you guys. >> I watched a film. No, I know. I watched

00:01:54 - 00:04:08 um a YouTube video of I like watching where Americans talk about British stuff >> and um they were walking through London and they said to her she said they said to her, "What's that thing over there?" And and it was um she said, "It's a giant it's a giant fire hydrant, but I don't know why it's so big." you know this big red massive post but it's a British post box. Anyway anyway look attacks on two steps today. >> It is interesting the differences in our cultures the things you know the things that we like it's so we we discover something new every week it seems like. >> Okay well um exciting times. We're moving into holiday season and we've got the very mythical Christmas sale. It might have started by the time of the airing of this episode. If not, it's starting very soon. A lot of cool assets, um, in-game assets, and I would say the general theme of it is, um, you know, we were originally going to have it be the Cyber Monday sale. Um, we just

00:03:03 - 00:05:01 wanted to give some value to our existing loyal community because we're not getting a ton of new people in at this state of the market and with what things are going on right now. It's basically like you guys, our loyal community. And so we wanted to make it special for you. Uh reduce the quantities significantly for for what's available. Um we think that that's pretty cool because it's basically like a thank you. Uh but at the same time um that does create a situation for us because we, you know, moving into mainstream approach, they expect lots of content, lots of assets. So if we're out of assets to sale, we just got to get good at our asset building pipeline. And so we're looking at that as a as a negative and a positive. We've got to get good at um what a lot of mainstream gamers expect, which is lots of options to buy different things and participate in cosmetics in a variety of ways. And so um it's practice for us and you guys get that extra value. Um, something that

00:04:02 - 00:05:56 we do want to announce really soon is the NFTbased rewards that we've talked about uh in the tokconomics uh paper announcement, but you know, basically being able to use your NFTts, participate in aerot trails or participate in a variety of different things and then earning rise token by doing that. Uh, we want to announce the breakdown of that here pretty soon too because that's another way that we're just saying here guys, these are the gameplay rewards. This is this is what you get for for participating with us and staying with us early. And so hopefully you guys see it. We've got amazing stuff happening. I think the sale has a lot of fun items. We've got what Rob, you want to talk through it with me? We've got uh a new uh X-class racer that's for sale. Um I don't have the list in front of me. We've got a new cargo video for sale. It's not the size of the um Juggernaut. It's about half the size of the juggernaut. Uh but that's going to be a

00:04:58 - 00:07:05 pretty limited quantity as well. Um we've got uh some fun hats, helmets, hats, Christmas themed stuff, holiday themed stuff. Yeah, we've got the Shinobi X uh racer vehicle. We've got two new cargo packs coming or a cargo pack and a jetpack coming. We've got the Double Dragon weapon coming. So, two new weapons. >> Shinobi and Double Dragon. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I remember those games from the 80s. >> Yes. Yes. Uh we've got uh outfits, several outfits, outfit items. Um the meat grinder. Uh that's already been sold, but what we're doing there is that that is coming active. They're going to be able to use that soon, which is exciting. >> That's what we need. So, I did see some video, I'm sure you saw it as well, of the uh shotgun >> effect. >> We've we've got that figured out. So, there's new >> Yeah, you see the >> Yeah, we're we're trying to get all the assets in game when we sell them, but

00:06:02 - 00:08:05 some some of them take a little bit bit of of doing. So, so there's there's lots more animations for this, but um yeah, it's worth the wait. >> Yeah, it is worth the wait. Uh so, so fun stuff. and those will be available in the next build, or at least a lot of them will. Um, and it shouldn't be too far off. So, so that'll be exciting. Um, this this sale is going to be fun. It's probably going to go throughout the next 3 weeks or something like that or until sold out, whatever. Um, then, uh, we've got another build coming pretty soon. Do we we don't want to give a timeline on that, but it's pretty soon. Well, it's we're planning on two builds this year and and this year only has about 30 days left. >> So, there you go. >> So, I mean, what we're we're aiming we're aiming for this week. >> Yeah. Okay. >> But, but it So, if this is released on Friday, it's imminent w within within I don't know two to three days max maybe.

00:07:04 - 00:09:10 >> Okay. What's coming before it's out that day? >> What? Tell tell me. get me excited about this next build. What is it? >> Um there there is quite a bit in it. I I know that from um what what one of the main things that we have at the moment is is obviously we have we we've had lots of testing with with the different servers and and that's that's highlighted that we're sending way too much data for for each individual player. Uh so Matteas has actually been putting a lot of time into compressing the amount of D data and streamlining a few of the old bits and pieces of code that's still replicating data that's no longer needed. So he says that he's now saved 50% data per player which is absolutely huge and he's got more to do. So so we should get a huge performance hit on that. I know that that don't really get you too excited but performance hit is is good. We've rettimed how players load in, so hopefully you load in a lot more slicker

00:08:07 - 00:10:12 rather than more invisible kind of thing. But in terms of the big features, questing is coming. First version of the questing, >> um, it's aimed th this very first version because we're going to get two builds out this year. The these first ones are aimed at kind of onboarding people. So it it will be showing you how to get clothes, um, what the different elements are. So, so getting credits, taking them to ACMs or a trip all the way over to the journey store, which has actually been quite a challenge to to program in there to to to get people around how to use your map. Um, all that kind of stuff that >> the general theme of the questing, just to uh put some more context, it's it is a kind of an onboarding theme to >> to get somebody acquired. >> Yes. This this very first one that there's kind of Yeah. So, so as on boarding, we're going to have um we're going to have what's called level sequences. So, so those are like cutscenes. So, they're not they're not

00:09:09 - 00:10:55 kind of cut scenes. They're kind of overlays and scenes that comes in. You've still got control of the player. The they're really cool elements. So, so we're going to have lots of those in there hopefully to guide you into different places. Um it'll it'll start starts to look AAA now. Um and that probably only last that probably last about 15 minutes. the on boarding from that point you're on your own and you can do whatever you want but then we've got >> this is for right now but we'll scale that out right >> yeah so so this is re this is really early just to get the system in there get some feedback make sure everything works so that's kind of part one part two when you're on your own you can go to the quest terminals and everyone's seen these kind of little computer terminals around there >> and there's there's six six seven or eight different quests in there where you just have to go and find things you know go and find 150 containers. Go and

00:10:01 - 00:12:03 find four jesters. Just just little fun things just to pass the time. So, there's probably about six I reckon six hours of four to six hours of gameplay in there. But this but this is just the start. In the in the following build, we'll do all the same for Solace. So, at the moment, this is just Kid Toledo and the pavilion. But then in the future, next year when we start doing quests seriously, they're because those are kind of more like um let's say World of Warcraft kind of quests. We're we're going to do really complex ones where where you you start involving in the law and you go and talk to a quest giver. They give you a quest, you might have to solve a puzzle, you have to go somewhere. So really lengthy ones with lots of cutscenes. Those are coming next year. So, these early ones, although you can get an impression of of of kind of how you you work the system, the um more lots and lots more work. We'll we'll go next year um when we put lots more effort into that. But you'll also have a

00:11:02 - 00:12:52 quest window. You'll be able to to see um the quest that you've done. You'll be able to gain XP that that's in there. You'll be able to gain IGC. There's a the player leveling up is in there. progression. All of this will be wiped in the future. So, it's just very very early days, but but they're there and they can now start getting built on and we can start building some really really complex quests once once we see the the performance of it and and eventually we'll move the quest window that you can pop up into into more the background. So, that's quest. Quest is actually a massive big deal for especially for engagement. >> And so, so feedback on that is is is absolutely, you know, going to be going to be huge. and and we aren't far from them being able to give feedback on that and how it goes, which is great. I think what's really significant to note here is that a majority of figuring out of the framework and how it's going to work

00:11:58 - 00:13:42 and how we're going to do quests is now done. So now it's like, let's get some feedback on what we want, things like that. And then we start to create and scale and improve from there. So it's it's a big leap just to get here. Then it's more like, okay, we're going in the next iteration of Quest by adding XYZ, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. And and integrating it with all these systems. You know, this this actually integrates very nicely with the inventory system. So you it will be certain as you're putting things in and out your inventory that'll be adding to to some of the objectives with within the quests. Um eventually that will lead on to like I say level progression. You will then be able to get um skill points. I I think we're calling them perks. perk points. You'll be able to get perk points and those perk points you'll then be able to to spend on this on the skill trees and you'll be able to to to level up your your characters in

00:12:50 - 00:14:32 all different ways. So So the so this is the foundation of something that will give literally hundreds and thousands of hours of of of guided gameplay and and on your own. It's an open world. Eventually you'll be able to just go and speak to NPCs and all kinds of things for questions. >> Yeah. What I love about it is right right now if somebody new comes in, they're getting welcomed. If if they happen to come into the game, well, now we're gated, but prior if they were coming into the game and they didn't get connected in our Discord community, they really they they got a lot to figure out and not a great >> is a massive Yeah, it's a massive number one issue. >> The learning the learning curve and and how do they figure out what to do and where to go and all of that stuff. um if they come into our Discord, obviously our community has been amazing to newcomers. We welcome and and teach people, which is great. That's a huge asset, and we're thankful to you guys,

00:13:41 - 00:15:21 our community, and helping us do that. >> Um but we we've needed something in game for quite a while that really facilitates an onboarding experience. So, somebody comes in, plays it for the first time, they get a good grasp of what can they do in this world. And and the big test for me is we'll get we'll get Jason back in, you know, Crypto Crow, >> you know, because because he he he really struggled because of the size of the world. So, >> Right. Right. Well, naturally, yeah, >> if it if this guides him round and he learns the keys cuz with a with a with an open world, there's so many different keys that that you can do. There's maps, there's there's adventuries, there's quest logs, there's there's all kind of things that integrate. And so so so yeah, if if we can if we can get his feedback as well and get him get him in the game, then then then that'll be great. >> Yeah. >> Is the litness test. >> There's so much fun stuff we can do with

00:14:31 - 00:16:21 these quests down the line. Oh, >> the number of towns we have that you could go visit then eventually adding special attractions and all sorts of different things and go see. Yeah, we get NPCs. >> I know Matt's got Matt's got a ton of ideas of what to do. I mean, we've we've we've had quests planned for for over a year now. I I really want to just do some fun quests as well, just like postcard quests. Go and visit the Three Peaks and stuff like that. So, just just like I said, not and they're they're not going to be they're not going to be compulsory. Some of them you'll just stumble across, but what we're going to do because we're web 3 is some of them will obviously lead on then to earning some of the rise tokens and and the RP within game. So, so pretty quickly once these systems start stacking on each other, you can then start being rewarded with with with Rise token and all kinds of in-game stuff. So, then the game really goes to a whole new level.

00:15:26 - 00:17:02 >> Yeah, it's it's really exciting some of the stuff we're working on. And that's the key word that you said there, getting all these systems working together. We're stacking systems in a way that creates a very immersive, interactive experience with rewards, progression, all the all the good stuff. So, we're not far off. It's it's exciting exciting times. Okay. Um, anything else in the So, you mentioned the quests and a few things in the build. >> The quests are coming. We're also I don't know the order that the other two the other two systems are coming whether it's going to be in this build that's about to land or or the one after, but it's but it's they're both coming this year. We we will have the apartment builder within there where you can add walls to your apartment and add all these assets within. >> That's definitely in the next build. Not >> that's the follow. Okay. So that that that's coming in the one then just

00:16:14 - 00:18:02 before the the penciled in just before the new year. Everyone's going on Christmas holidays. So hopefully it should be should be before Christmas. Otherwise we're all working over Christmas. It is what it is. We did last year and the year before but is what it is. And then the the other major update is more of the drones. So So more drones are coming in. The >> heavies drones, right? heavies and the mediums that they're coming in at the moment. We've got to dial back the heavies because they're way too heavy. >> You performance >> wise or what? >> Yeah. You take an army and and and they they're just going to wipe out an army. So >> Oh. Oh, so they're too difficult. >> Yeah. Yeah. Way too difficult. Even if you got a hundred people shooting at them, they're just like, "Yeah, whatever." Oh, >> whatever. So So So we're having fun um trying to balance those things. And um that's then obviously going to lead on

00:17:08 - 00:19:03 to to the rift battles. I I think the rift battles are going to be next year, but I don't know. David might sneak them in this year. But but um but those are those are three completely different massive systems. So we've got questing, we've got house building, property apartment building, which will also maybe land building will come with that at the same time. And then also we've got the combat in there. huge a huge update to finish the year. >> Oh, I love it, man. Very exciting stuff. Um, so yeah, hopefully we can all get in there and uh tinker around >> as well. We might we might need crafting in by the end of the year as well. >> Just a a first iteration kind of thing, but so much work has been done on it. >> Yeah, once once we link that crafting, I mean, once these are all linked together. So, so what we can do is is we can start a quest that makes you go and get some items, maybe go and talk to quest givers, go around, get some ingredients all around the world,

00:18:06 - 00:19:51 eventually come back, craft it into maybe a weapon or something like that, and then take that weapon to battle, and then the spoils go back and and finish the quest. >> That was so much fun. >> We're starting to have some loops coming together. It's exciting. >> Really exciting. And then when you have multiple different system, multiple different types of loops that can engage with one another, you can use one loop to help build up something for another loop. >> That's uh it gets it gets to where you can get really creative as the player with what you want to do and how you want to expand and progress in the world. >> Yeah, we we built it in such a way that everything everything can be triggered in different ways. So we can have things that are easy and and some that have so many prerequisites. So you have to be a certain level or you have to be so many people or you have to have a certain item. You know, those are kind of the standard things. But we can also do

00:18:58 - 00:21:04 things like you need to be in solace in a certain town at a certain time of day and this item has to be there otherwise the quest will will not fulfill or something, you know. So so we can get really granular with what we've got planned. But for now it's just going to look naughty. Go and find 150 treasure chests. Hey, it's great. It's amazing. Lot of fun. >> It's holocaes on holocaes on speed. >> I love it. Well, I did reach out to David to get a few updates on >> the avatar creator and things like that. >> Really lots of progress being made, but there's nothing that I can like communicate that he can communicate that's not boring or whatever. But he's he's basically saying we're making we're making significant progress on the apartments. Uh so that's just underway. Um we did solve he said we solved the jetpack um lag on starting the jetpack to flying. That should be gone on that next release. The an issue with the

00:20:02 - 00:22:04 alien >> snap has been nipped. So uh little improvements like that. So, to conclude the, you know, something that I'm really exciting about with uh talking about this section of the the deal with the next build and the very mythical Christmas sale. This racer, I'm incredibly excited about the X-Class. I think a lot of you guys are excited about it. >> Yeah, our first X-Class. >> It is our first X-Class. It's incredibly fast. Uh it's it's the same class as the Jester, which will be earned basically. can't. But so this will be the only one of the few X-classes that you could buy. It's the only one you could buy currently uh when the sale goes live for this one. And I guess what I'm most excited about is it's going to be incredibly hard. Um that's a great image. I love that angle. That looks incredible. So >> it's really fast. It's not going to be easy. Huh. >> I've heard it's quite hard to to to fly, but we've got some really good really

00:21:02 - 00:23:19 good flyers in >> Yeah. I'm curious to see how some of the the elite racers on our uh uh leaderboards how they how they do with it. Um I'm excited to try it out. I haven't I haven't tried it, but it's uh apparently incredibly fast. So >> yeah, >> we'll see how that goes. >> So yeah, that's that's a little leak a few leaky images for you for the uh sale that's either started or is coming on soon. Um, and then we have two more topics. The Aerot Trails competition. You want to cover some of that? >> Yeah. >> I think you were you were pressing for some more competitions to end out the year. And um I was full agreement with you. Let's let's get something going. >> I think I've I think I have lost um >> your details. >> Yeah, I've lost the Oh, no. I found them now. Okay. So So yeah. So the competition started on the 2nd of December, so it's well underway now. It goes all the way to the 15th of December. Um, so aerot

00:22:10 - 00:24:22 trails, you can do a trails in either Kid Toledo City area, in Solace one, Solace 2, or Solace 3. So you can do them in all four and and you should do them in all four because all four of them um have an individual leaderboard. Um, and there's prizes um, ranging from $50 worth of the Rise token um, all the way to to $10. Um, so and that's actually per course. So the top 10 of each course giving um a grand total to begin with of of $250 of Rise per course. So that's $1,000 altogether. So, you know, not too shabby. Get your jetpacks out. And you can use any jetpack. You can use you can use the free in-game ones or you can use the you know the the premium ones. So it'll be interesting to see >> which pack. Yeah. And the the thing is with the different courses is some of them some of them are are mixed courses. Some of them are are low some some of them are quite high. So using different jetpacks on different courses I think will be a thing. It's kind of find what

00:23:17 - 00:25:11 find what fits. So it's >> which one climbs the best vertically >> the fastest or you know Yeah, they have >> that's how they were designed. They were designed some that that were low and fast, some of them were were high climbing. So So they're all they're all different and it'll get you it'll get you out get get you get get you out and about and touch some grass. >> Yeah. Get out and about, touch some grass grass. >> Yeah, it's a fun competition. So uh if you want more details about it, just go into our Discord. it's there. Um, and uh, you'll you'll you'll find out how to participate, but yeah, it should be a lot of fun. Okay. Uh, nodes, you want to walk us through the nodes changes >> nodes >> changes and also the sale. >> Yes. So, um, what we've been doing every month is is we've been we've been changing the rewards from performance to to base rewards. So, we've got one more

00:24:13 - 00:26:31 update to to go. So on the 1st of December, those were changed to 75% performance rewards and and we had the final update of that um in January. So the rewards are are are almost where we want them to be um for the node operators um and for the delegators. So So that's exciting. And we're we're actually testing right this right this moment moving the number of nodes that you that you're required to to run a public pool from eight down to six. So because because we need we need more nodes. We we need more public node pools running because once we go on Steam and we go on Epic, you know, the floodgates open. >> We just don't have enough public pool operators at the moment. So, we're going to try and encourage that um with a couple of measures. Um and one of them is to to move that down to to six. And if that's ready, um then that will that will go live um as as soon as that's ready. So, so that that is imminent, that one there. Um just a quick reminder

00:25:22 - 00:27:24 of nodes. Nodes also gives you if you're a node owner whe whether you're you're a delegator or or an operator um the rewards are being paid currently in the cop token but that will automatically switch over to to rise very soon. >> Mhm. >> Um we're just waiting for for for I I don't know when the date is when we're going to move >> end of the migration period I believe. >> Right. Okay. Yeah. So so those will automatically move over. So, so where it says so many copy at the moment, it'll instantly just change to rise. So, if you don't do anything, they'll just and the tokens are are one to one anyway. So, so you won't have to do the migration yourself. You just come and collect them. Um nodes themselves, they're also going to be a white list for any future nodes that are coming and and and we have plans um early next year to to start looking at server nodes. So, so server nodes, they go hand inhand with um custom domes, which again is

00:26:23 - 00:28:46 something that we're we're looking to to start development of proper um in in January. So, so we'll have lots and lots more details on how custom domes and server nodes work and and if that long-term vision of that if if if those actually work out really well, then we will we will start hosting not just custom domes, we'll start hosting some of our own infrastructure on on those on on those um community hosted server nodes. But that's lot that's um that's down the line. That's 2026, but it's it's definitely good to look forward to. And um also we are um talking about the the the player owned asset reward for for for node operators. So we will get we will get round to that. >> And the same and the same for the OGs. We will get round to it. >> Yep. It's gonna happen. >> Hopefully it'll be in 26 25. Yeah. No, it will be. Um, so, uh, well, hopefully in 25. Yes. Um, okay. Did you, uh, anything else you want to cover on nodes? Are we good there?

00:27:34 - 00:29:48 We are actually going to open up a quick sale as well. I think we we're going to do um, a holiday special to to the end of the year. Not many, 250, a very small amount. Um, and that will be uh, three for two. So if you buy two nodes, you will get a node free. Again, this is all about encouraging people to to either run public their own public pool or to to become a delegate, which in turn encourages people to to run the public pools. >> Yeah. really ideally the way you can help us the most in this part is we're really trying to expand and get more operators just to be >> gradually ramping up operators right until you know the alpha launch um so that we're >> yeah I mean we to date we've sold just over 9,000 nodes you know and that and and if all those were active that we're in good shape but we have over a third of the of those people that are not delegating and not running public nodes you know, I don't know what they're doing with them. I don't know whether

00:28:41 - 00:30:41 they, you know, they've gone to sleep in the in the bare market, the hibernating, but that not only did they lose out on a ton of copi rewards and now rise rewards, but the but you know, by not participating in the network, it's such a shame because you bought the nodes and then they are there for a reason. You don't you don't have to run your own node. You can just delegate it. press a button, delegate it to to one of our our node pool operators and and they'll run it all for you and and you'll get nodes that way. So, um so yeah, it's a it's a small sale, three for two, buy two, you'll get one free. >> Yep. Okay. Um very good. So, that brings that to a wrap. Uh, one thing I wanted to mention though, we I don't know if we've celebrated this in a cafe rise since the listings, but we've listed on Steam and Epic coming soon. Uh, and you guys have, we're so grateful for you guys, our community. Thank you for getting out there and, uh, following

00:29:41 - 00:31:35 and, uh, wishlisting those pages. Please, if you haven't done that yet, please go to Steam, find us on Steam, and find us on Epic, and uh, help us out. Wishlist it. um and follow us because that helps us to get traction in preparation for mainstream. So, this is kind of tied to the nodes thing. It's like we're really in a phase right now of preparing for a uh legit launch. And so, um yeah, that's exciting. You guys can help us out by doing that. Thank you for all who have already done it. Uh we still need help. Let's keep that going. Let's keep building up that following count on Steam and Epic. Uh that'll really help us. So, um thank you again. And I think that brings us to our uh questions and leak. >> Well, yeah. I mean, you've segueed you've segueed actually into the leak talking about because because what I'm showing on the screen is is a video and and this is kind of like the image at the start of it. >> So, I I can go through this.

00:30:38 - 00:32:45 >> All right. >> This is something that I actually shared on on Twitter. It only lasts like 30 seconds. >> Okay. But what this is showing, I'll put the sound down here. So this is error trails that there is a trails. Everything looks normal. However, if you look to the right hand side, you'll see a little tag that says let's go flying. And and what's this is showing is one of the quests. So this is how the part of the quest system is going to appear that and you know short and simple. Okay, >> we're not showing you the quest window or anything like that. It is just it is just a leak. There is lots of >> just a little bit of just that text. >> Just showing it's integrated with within the game. >> That's great. Exciting stuff. Okay. Well, that brings us to questions then. So, I have one for you, sir. Oh, >> this is for this is from Mean Little. No. He says, "Will I be able to craft special bullets with side effects like

00:31:42 - 00:33:54 stun, paralysis, burn, bleed damage, or something like that? Maybe with a chance of triggering the effect, or maybe a debuff. >> He's he's thought about those bullets." Um, I think, um, crafting bullets is a thing. David spoke about it quite a lot. Um, obviously go get the raw metal. Um, maybe from the mines. So go and do a bit of mining, get some raw metal, melt it down, craft it into bullets. Whether it gives off all those effects, who knows? Maybe. But but definitely uh yeah, that that's a good example of of how we can mix all these systems together, starting off with with mining and then crafting all the way up to u using them. >> Yeah, it's great. Okay. Uh next one you got for me, I believe. I will have to find it. I turn all my monitors off so I don't get reflections on my glasses. And then >> and then I can't I've got four monitors >> now. I've got Where's it gone? >> You're in dev mode. >> Ask the question and

00:32:48 - 00:34:57 >> Oh, I can ask it. I got you. >> Ask your own question. Oh, no. I found it now. Here. Here we go. I found it. >> I think I found it. >> Is it from Lord of Affinity? >> Yes. Lord an affinity. Damn, I remember his I remember his cousin, Lord of the corn. Um, so the team has been on a habitual 30-day release lately. Great job, by the way. And it's been nearly 30 days since the last big release. So, just as a 30-day courtesy question, we're off. >> Uh, yeah, it's true. And I don't think it was it wasn't really like planned. It wasn't like we were intentional. Hey, we're going to start doing a release every month. But when you get enough significant stuff into one build and you want to test it and get it going and get feedback and all sorts of stuff, sometimes it makes sense to do that. That's a that'll be an incredibly hard pace to uh keep up with over time. However, um but we actually do have another one fairly soon, if not today.

00:33:52 - 00:35:49 So, that would keep up with honoring his question there with that 30-day marker. Um, >> well, it would I mean with two builds by the end of the the year. I mean, there's not 30 days left in the year. >> So, so two builds. >> Yeah. >> 30 days. >> Exciting stuff. Very exciting stuff. Um, so yeah, good question. And uh I don't know what the the pace will look like in the future, but we definitely the exciting thing about who we are, what we're doing to me, one of them is that we are a forever game. We are just going to continue to create, add value, innovate, put new builds out year, month after month, year after year. That is what we do. Continue to add value and make it better and better. And you guys get to be along for the story, for the ride, for the process. Let's all have fun doing it. Um, >> communities will communities will be creating quests in the future that no doubt they will be we'll have a competition and some of >> creation competition.

00:34:51 - 00:36:53 >> Yeah, some of them will find their way in. >> Sweet. And then and then eventually we'll allow them to create their own. >> Uh I like it. I like it. Empower the community. All about that. Okay. Ray Racer of the Knights. I'll I'll add when animals and win pets. Everyone likes pets. >> Um within 30 years. >> 30 years. >> When animals and when pets 2026. >> Okay. uh they they have there's significant work done on those, but I think the remainder is on the animations and programmatic AI side, like what they do, how they walk around, things like that. A a good amount of that. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I mean, we've got we've got the we've got the NPC creatures. We we've seen images of them for for nearly over a year. We just But what we what we have to do is we have to test obviously the the performance of because of the rifts are opening. We're going to be spawning all kinds of of creatures from the rifts,

00:35:51 - 00:38:02 >> but they also have to sit with the NPC people that we're going to have in the game, but they all then also have to sit in with the NPC animals that are in there and then you add pets and everything on top of it. So, it's just an add a layer iterate and and what people don't know is there's there's actually three million fish in the game at the moment. You can't see them, but they're they're all you. Trust me. Trust me, bro. There's three million fish. I love it. Uh we'll catch those fish one of these days. I'm looking forward to it. Um all right. Well, that's that's all for this episode. Thank you all for watching 146 and we will see you very soon. Bye-bye. >> Bye-bye. >> Welcome. You're here early. That's good. Means there's something special about you. We got a whole lot going wrong around here. You better train up. We got terror knocking on our infrastructure and some mighty strange occurrences going on.

00:37:02 - 00:40:19 I'm afraid our world is at risk. Without people like you, cornucopia might fall into darkness. Better get smart, get trained, and be ready. A storm is coming. I can feel it. I'd like to say we've been worse, but this time I'm not so sure. Good luck out there. You're going to need every bit you can get. Children of the multiverse, you have crossed the veil through the gate to stand with us in cornucopius. You have my appreciation. I am but a messenger, a guide sent to show you the path that must be walked. But know this, the rifts are only the beginning. What you have seen is but a shadow of what is yet to come. The path ahead is dark and the cost will be great. For the dangers you face are not born of this world alone but from beyond it. Some of you will fight the tide. Others will build and restore. Some will weave knowledge while others will sustain through trade and creation. Strength, will, and unity, these are the bonds that will endure when all else is broken.

00:38:46 - 00:39:16 Rise now. Stand against the tide. For infinity does not end. It begins. Infinity is rising. Heat up here.
