Um, foot to note, everybody who came down got their flights and accommodation and all meals paid for and no vetting. [snorts] So, if you wanted to come down, you had the chance to to come down and stop in a five-star hotel. It was ridiculous. People came from all around the world. Um, I t I teamed up with I had no plan. I just thought I'd go down and look up there. So, so we met literally in in the foyer the first morning. I I met up with three great guys, Vit, Austin, and Carl and um from Australia now living in America. Um and and a German and um Carl was Carl was from from England. And fun fact, because there always seems to be an American and a British guy. Carl is the founder of Hoski. >> Oh, okay. >> So that so that was great. So I met both sides of Husky now. >> Wow. Very cool. Uh and I imagine you saw a lot of friendly faces, people we've seen at other conferences, people. So,

so those that don't know, Midnight is is a new I want to call it a side chain side chain to to to many chains. Um, Bitcoin, Salana, um, Cardano, Ethereum, and and it was set up by Charles Hoskinson, obviously the the >> I didn't realize that. So, it's a side chain to mini chain. So, they're integrating with multiple >> to make it >> Yeah. Yeah. It's very clever. What what what what you do is is you is you swap your side chain um token in into the um the night token as it's called and that night token produces dust and that dust is doesn't doesn't have a value and that's what you use to do transactions on the chain. So, so you so you start off with in any any token. I'm sure there'll be more in the future. And it's basically a privacy privacy um privacy chain. So, you you can do all kinds of kinds of stuff on that. And so, you know, I I wanted to learn more about it. I met um Fami Say, the the president of the Midnight Foundation. I had a good

chat with him. Um yeah, from from Cardano, I met so many people. Um who was there? Let me see. I I remember mainly a lot of influencers were there. So I remember seeing Lily, I saw um Fared, Dap Central, um Big Pay was there. Um I spoke to Sebastian, you know, the the developer. Um Tim Harrison was there obviously from from Cardano. Charles Hoskinson was there. Um I met Patrick Toba from Naker. He he's >> you've seen him. You've met him before. >> Yeah. Yeah. I've I know a lot of these a lot of these people. I was surprised. I I just thought it would be a nice chilled event. Um but yeah, there's a lot of people and a lot of people from other chains as well. So So the setup was it was the very first Midnight Summit. Um >> and the the hackathon there had 48 different teams of five and and we were building um something to do with the chain. So, so, so in my team, um, I represented the the gamer side. So, so I built an Unreal Engine parkour game. When you finished that game, it was

against the clock. We sent that over. It used it used digital identity. We sent that over to to a midnight pool, no pool. They're coming later in next year. It used um the compact framework that was written by um by Austin. He he's a smart contract developer now on the midnight chain. Very very clever guy. Um that validated and and created created the transaction and then on and then on the other side all all you do is present the data that you want to do. So so what we were able to prove was was that a time was achieved by a a DDS ID. So completely private that's the whole idea of the of the chain privacy for first verifiable data that all happened offchain the the trans the the transaction the smart contract proved that it was done a certain time by a certain person. So so what so where this is really important so so what we did is is you have different tracks that that you that you were building and and we we were building a um kind of like a a within the health track. If if you're if you're running around and people can see who you are and they know where you are at a certain time and know your routine, you know, that that's all kind of of of privacy. So, so privacy, onchain privacy, I think obviously it's very attractive in in the

finance industry. So, so like banks, you know, if I asked you if you would tell me your name and what country you're from, you'd be fine. If I said, "Can you let me see your bank details?" You know, you wouldn't want to share that. But that's what we do on chain. If anybody can link a wallet to a physical person, you know, all this data becomes becomes ve very public very very quick. So the idea of midnight is that everything everything is hidden. It's a privacy co. It's a very very interesting change, very interesting proposition, but really really surprising. It's going to do incredibly well because of the new administration and the new direction uh of the world kind of shifting towards in uh institutional adoption of crypto because that's when privacy and the financial realm really um the finance industry needs that privacy uh for a variety of reasons. I I mean I mean for me me personally and for the gaming space, you know, I I thought it's it's really interesting to to understand this technology to see how we can use it. So, a few a few weeks ago, we obviously had the the land claim and, you know, I I was very very cautious, should I say, of of sharing sharing the the the NFTts and the land plots that that I was claiming, which which was why we built in the option to to be anonymous on on the land claim. And um I mean, I have I have some I have actually some some figures back from that. It it turned out that 2,155 land plots chose the option to be anonymous, which represented 31% of our of our community that were claiming wanted to stay anonymous. Privacy is priv privacy is is big and we can see that for ourselves. So, so we'll explore that in the future.

And, um, we're going to be testing we're going to be testing these tomorrow and see how that goes. So, um, I know last time we had about we had about 45 46 people >> uh, in the last test. Um certainly we did have some issues uh once we started hitting that level because we were pretty much uh at that point you're choking out the CPU uh the vCPU that's on a uh server. Um and that will give you lots more game items and we'll kind of we'll kind of get into that. I'm not sure what we're going to call that one, but it's it's kind of like a it's kind of like a Cyber Monday uh release or something like that. That's that's what it feels like. But, um lots of new things in there. But, uh the release after that is the big boy. That is uh that's the one that everybody wants and the one that we're pulling our hair out uh over and that is the coming home release where literally everybody
