Summary
In episode 153 of Cafe Rise, the Infinity Rising development team, including Rob, Greg, Josh Jones, and guest David, provide detailed updates on the game’s progress, upcoming features, community engagement, and the next tier sale called the Operator tier. The episode highlights the ongoing growth and evolution of Infinity Rising, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in both testing and culture-building.
The team discusses the imminent release focused on introducing apartments—a major feature allowing players to claim, furnish, and customize their own living spaces with over a thousand items. Alongside apartments, safe zones are being implemented to protect new players from early hostile encounters, complete with a bounty system that penalizes aggressive players and enables consequences for their actions. Future updates will include prisons and more complex social consequences within the game.
Other gameplay improvements include enhanced shooting galleries with moving targets and multiple difficulty levels, a new PvP deathmatch arena within the global map, and an expanded delivery mini-game featuring interactive puzzles. The crafting system is set to dramatically expand with over 400 new recipes, signaling a deeper and richer player-driven economy.
David then presents the Operator tier, the next sale phase offering exclusive gear, vehicles, and weapons tailored for “operator” style play—focused on working the economy and moving goods rather than purely combat. Notable assets include new weapons with realistic and custom audio, unique thrusters for fast mobility, cargo mounts called LoadRunners, rugged backpacks, and large cargo ships like the Cloud Barge designed for bulk transport. The iconic AF88C Dongo fighter jet, a vintage anti-gravity aircraft with disabled weaponry, is also revealed as a rare and coveted asset within this tier.
The team addresses community questions, clarifying player goals for the alpha launch, future plans for mining, woodworking, and fishing, and the potential for player-driven economic activities such as owning businesses or disrupting supply chains. They emphasize the vision of Infinity Rising as a digital civilization with dynamic economic systems, political elements like town governance and protests, and emergent social gameplay.
The episode closes with an invitation to join the community Discord, engage with the game, and participate in the Operator sale, underscoring the collaborative nature of development driven by player feedback and enthusiasm.

Key Insights
🏘️ Apartments as a Core Social and Gameplay Hub: The introduction of apartments is a transformative feature for Infinity Rising, providing players a personalized space to express creativity and identity. With over 1,000 items and extensive customization, this system not only deepens immersion but also encourages long-term engagement. The developers acknowledge that bugs are inevitable due to complexity, positioning the community as key testers in iterative refinement—demonstrating a player-inclusive development philosophy.
🛡️ Safe Zones and Bounty Mechanics Enhance New Player Experience and Social Order: By implementing safe zones in key areas like Toledo and Solace, Infinity Rising aims to mitigate early player frustration from griefing and unrestricted PvP. The bounty system adds a layer of consequences for hostile actions, encouraging balanced play and emergent justice via security bots and player hunters. This dynamic fosters a more sustainable social environment, essential for onboarding new players while preserving PvP excitement in designated zones.
🎯 Diverse Gameplay Modes Foster Player Skill Growth and Variety: The shooting gallery’s upgrades with moving targets, multiple difficulty levels, and multiplayer-friendly design reveal a commitment to varied content catering to different skill levels. Similarly, the deathmatch arena within the global map introduces structured PvP combat with team-based competition, expanding player interaction beyond open-world encounters. These modes provide safe spaces for players to practice and compete, enriching gameplay depth.
🚛 Delivery Mini-Game and Cargo Systems Lay Foundations for a Robust Player Economy: The delivery game’s evolution—combining navigation, timed puzzles, and an innovative following drone—signals a blend of fun and functional gameplay linked to economic activity. The design supports cooperative and solo play, hinting at complex logistics and trade systems. This ties into the broader vision of a micro-to-macro economy where players not only fight but also build, trade, and sustain the world.
🔥 Operator Tier Sale Targets a Player Archetype Focused on Economy and Logistics: The Operator bundle is curated for players who want to “look serious” and contribute to the economic backbone of the world. With assets like the LoadRunner mounts for cargo transport, thrusters for rapid movement, and the Cloud Barge for large-scale hauling, the tier emphasizes utility and style. Exclusive weapons with authentic recorded audio enhance immersion, while the AF88C Dongo fighter jet ties into the game’s lore and adds prestige.
🌲 Future Systems: Crafting, Mining, Fishing, and Dynamic Economy: Crafting will see a massive expansion from just a few items to over 400 recipes, marking a significant step toward player-driven content creation. Mining and woodworking will follow, integrating resource gathering into the economy. Fishing, while complex, is planned as a unique mini-game adding environmental interaction. Together, these systems aim to create an evolving, living economy where player actions impact supply, demand, and possibly politics.
🏛️ Emergent Social Systems and Governance as Part of Digital Civilization: The developers envision Infinity Rising as more than a game—it is a digital civilization with player governance, political protests, and economic competition. The idea of players influencing town taxes, protesting corporations like Burger Barn, or disrupting supply chains points to innovative emergent gameplay. This level of social simulation is rare in games and could foster deep player investment and storytelling driven by community actions.

[music] Heat up here. [music] Hey everybody, welcome to Cafe Rise. This is Rob, Greg, and Josh Jones, and we're telling you what's happening in the world of Infinity Rising, keeping you guys, our community, and hopefully our new community that you are seeing this for the first time, up to date on what's going on in Infinity Rising and this game that we are building and this community of wonderful people that uh is
00:01:03 - 00:01:35
joined together around our mission of just entertainment and fun. So, glad you're here, glad you're watching. This is episode 153. We've got some fun stuff ahead today. I'll just be brief on this part. We're going to give you some game updates, a few little updates there, and then we're going to have David on for a second segment where we talk about the upcoming next tier and what assets are going to be available in that.
00:01:28 - 00:02:02
And that should be opening today, uh, if it hasn't already. Um, so fun stuff there. Okay, Rob, what are you drinking? >> Well, today I've got a good old Yorkshire tea in my um He who dares wins >> and horses cup this time next year, Rodney this time. >> Nice. Very nice. Very nice. Looks Looks good. Well, cheers.
00:01:56 - 00:02:40
I'm uh drinking a good old diet Dr. Pepper. Diet. >> I don't think I've ever seen a white can before. Not the healthiest, but it's pretty darn tasty. Okay, so um fun stuff. Well, the the trailer I saw in the notes, uh up to 75K views. We did put a little bit of marketing spend on that, but a lot of that is due not to the marketing spend, but you guys helping us kick it off and the viewing timing uh that that like people are watching it for for a long time.
00:02:36 - 00:03:08
So, the algorithm is picking up on that and things are working together very well with a little bit of promote to kick it off and get it a lot further. So, um, I would love to ask you guys, our community, to go >> and just go back to that video, watch it again, leave a second round of comments. Let's just keep the comments growing on it and and and tell YouTube basically that, hey, this is still engaged and still, you know, people are coming back for a third and fourth, you know, that that kind of thing.
00:03:04 - 00:03:31
So, if you guys can do that for us, that would really help. Um, and yeah, well, while we're on it, for anybody here that hasn't discovered us yet, if uh this is your first time to watch Cafe Rise video, please uh subscribe, uh like it. Um help us get the the word out there about this game and above all find our Discord community.
00:03:26 - 00:04:04
Um you can see all the information in the description, but join our Discord community. the the community is one of the biggest strengths that we have uh along with the amazing game and amazing team. Um it's pretty amazing. Rob, what I've been watching week after week after week is new people coming in to our community going, "How do I play? What do we do?" You know, and our community, welcoming them, um showing them where to go, getting them game demos on the fly.
00:03:58 - 00:04:24
Uh we have amazing people here that are just excited about what we're doing and it's created a very fun culture which is exactly what we wanted to do from the get-go. I mean we are building a game. It's supposed to be fun. So we want a fun community. We want a fun experience all the way through as much as we can.
00:04:18 - 00:04:44
AAA quality experience uh all the way around from from coming in the gates to creating your account to uh joining our Discord community to participating in our marketplace or sale events uh to playing and running around with the in the game with your friends. You know, that's what we're going for. >> We're we're always in Discord, so so we see what's going on.
00:04:40 - 00:05:12
And we've actually been discussing maybe having some kind of weekly tour or or or some some kind of a scheduled tour that that that we can point people to. >> Yes. The one thing I don't want to do with that is uh prevent um the on the-fly tours. >> Yeah. >> So, as long as if we have a scheduled tour um we're not losing that on the-fly tour effect, uh then I'm more than happy to have something scheduled.
00:05:08 - 00:05:27
And we and we've recently put in the quest system that takes people around for for that. So so you don't need a tour. It's just in case you you know you want to come and meet some of the community and and and you know see how they >> It's a great way to get to know people, meet people and get involved.
00:05:24 - 00:05:48
Um so I highly recommend it. If you haven't played the game, jump into our Discord, uh download it and um yeah, well it's gated right now, but the community will show you how to get uh into the game as well. Um there's ways there's hacks. Um so not really hacks, but you know, hey, there's a way to get in.
00:05:43 - 00:06:10
So, um what else? We've got a lot of community music has been >> Yeah. This last few weeks, >> people are having some fun with Suna. Is it Suna? Something like that. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's a that's a powerful very powerful program. There's no doubt about it. very powerful use of AI and they're making some fun stuff >> for sure.
00:06:09 - 00:06:27
>> I mean that that's to be fair that's how Seven got started with us because he started making tracks for us >> and then and then we jumped all over that and and asked Seven to come on board, didn't we? >> Yeah. Yeah. He he made some amazing stuff and a lot of that that was the the way that he did it.
00:06:23 - 00:06:48
It's a little different though because he would find tracks that he absolutely loved and then um and he would have his words and his song and his inspiration that he was writing. So he would write it out. >> Yeah. None of that >> and then perform it himself. >> Yeah. Seven. >> So yeah, he was he was actually doing a lot more um on his end.
00:06:42 - 00:07:10
Um incredibly talented and you hear some of his songs in the game. So >> yeah. Um, and we've discussed getting a Spotify channel up with some [music] of the game music at some point. We'll we'll do something like that. But >> yeah, >> the the soundtrack [music] to this new trailer is going down really really well.
00:07:04 - 00:07:33
And um we actually heard a different version. Do you remember the the other day? >> Yeah. >> It's like an 80s Miami Vice kind of [music] >> I loved it. I loved it was >> I'm going to stick with the original version myself. >> I I love this. >> It was It was fun. It's fun. >> Might have to play at a watch party one day. >> Um so, so game updates.
00:07:28 - 00:07:55
Uh take us through what you got. There's some there's some fun stuff in the works. >> Yeah, I mean we we've spoke about this a few times. Let's just get get my notes. The um the the release that's coming up very very soon. I want to say [snorts] 30 days. Um >> Thank you. is is all about the apartments.
00:07:50 - 00:08:19
So, the apartment is is the biggest feature that that's coming in in in that new release. And um so we're testing them at the moment. We you can come in and claim the apartments. Everyone will get a free apartment, but also those people that have that have purchased an apartment, they they will be able to to to have their their own larger apartments.
00:08:14 - 00:08:48
Um, so, so, so it's all about the apartment and being able to, um, what's the word? Furnish them and and put your walls up and put your items where wherever you want them in there with with like the building kits. So, so that's going well. We've got over a thousand different pieces that that the community can um, put together all all different items from like stoves, beds, well, anything really you can you can think about putting in a house.
00:08:44 - 00:09:13
So that's that's coming. Testing is going very very well on that. We did some rejiggering of the back end that's caused like the slight delay of of of this release coming out, but we're we're getting through the majority of that. So So that that's coming. We've also built safe zones. So the safe zones are coming.
00:09:07 - 00:09:29
So, so the way these work is when you go into an area that is that is safe as in you don't want people to kill you because as soon as you come into the game, the last thing that you want is to somebody to start killing and your first impression is, you know, you you you can't go anywhere cuz you you're constantly being shot.
00:09:25 - 00:09:50
So, we will have safe zones in Toledo. We'll have safe zones in Solace and all over the place. And and the way they work is if somebody comes in and shoots you, they'll kind of be like a warning and say, you know, this this is not good. And if they continue to do that, and if and especially if they kill you, they will then have a bounty on their head.
00:09:45 - 00:10:12
M >> and a bounty on somebody's head means you yourself can then go and kill them and you won't get any consequences because there's a bounty on their head. But also the security bots will be after them and and all kinds of of good stuff will you know try and correct that behavior and then in a future build um not this current one but in a future build.
00:10:10 - 00:10:28
>> So you cover what's in this current one and that's being tested now. >> Yeah. So the Yeah, the safe zones are in there and they're being tested now. Yes. So that's that's in this one. Then in the future, we'll take that a little step further. We are at the moment building prisons.
00:10:23 - 00:10:54
So I think they still need to get the painters in and and and make sure all the locks are secure, but in a future build, we will have prisons. I've seen tons of artwork being pushed um every other day. So So we're actively working on on the layout of of the prisons. We al also have and I think a lot of people will go to prison on purpose because within that whole prison experience we have a game that a little mini game that's probably been ready now.
00:10:53 - 00:11:09
>> Absolutely. Will people will go to prison on purpose? [laughter] >> Yeah, >> there's a game in it. But go ahead. >> Yeah, you you you'll need to go to prison on purpose and go and go and play on that new experience. And >> so so but that's coming in the future future. Back to this build.
00:11:05 - 00:11:28
We will have safe zones. So that so that'll be good. So that'll be that'll be a good level of of of testing. Um the nav meshes are causing a bit of a performance issue cuz cuz you know Kido's massive at the moment. So so so we're doing a lot of performance testing with those. Um we currently have a a shooting gallery.
00:11:26 - 00:11:51
>> Okay. Hold before we go on to the shooting gallery. >> Um the bounties. Now how complex of a system is that? Do we have any bug concerns or you know I know there's always bugs but like uh is is it uh simple enough that uh it shouldn't cause any sort of major issues with this release? >> I I I think so.
00:11:48 - 00:12:13
Yeah, there's different types of areas as well. There's there's areas that we allow people to shoot other people and and that's when they they will they will get a bounty on the head. There's areas where we just completely disable weapons altogether. So, so, so that's very very useful. And then there's areas where PVP, you know, player versus player is is allowed.
00:12:08 - 00:12:36
So, so yeah, they we've kind of built a traffic light green, yellow, and and and red kind of >> as we as the game builders see them in game, >> but the players won't see that. You'll just be going into all these these invisible areas. But there is >> I love it. That's one of the elements of gaming that becomes incredibly fun is the unpredictability.
00:12:31 - 00:12:52
So all of a sudden you walk into an unsafe zone. >> Yeah. You will get a little bit of a warning at the top. A little text comes down and says you are you are in a safe zone or or you're you're now leaving. >> But if you don't know your way around, >> you might just find yourself in an unsafe zone all of the sudden.
00:12:48 - 00:13:11
And >> and I have no doubt people will be waiting for you. [snorts] >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's good stuff. Okay, cool. So yes, so the shooting gallery currently there there's a couple of shooting galleries in in the global map. Um, and these have actually been enhanced now. So So now there's there's moving targets in there.
00:13:08 - 00:13:34
There's a little bit of a of a there's a quest giver in the corner and you can you can do an three different types of games. There's an easy, a hard, and an impossible with a question mark. So, >> so there's three and and they're actually so you've got moving targets, you've got human moving targets, you've got the the traditional bullseye targets, you've got some on all over the place.
00:13:31 - 00:13:50
So, there's a lot of targets in there now because I think one of the concerns was is it might not be very good for multiplayer if few people are in there, but but now but now it's perfect for for multiplayers if you want to do the challenges yourself. And there's doors that that windows that keep coming up and down.
00:13:46 - 00:14:10
So, you have to go and find a window that's open to get to the target. So, we'll um I think that'll be fun to play. And the different levels, they actually unlock straight away. Um hard mode unlocks at level 25. And then the impossible mode is is when you've got your season level up to level 50.
00:14:05 - 00:14:34
So, we're experimenting with with with unlocking the different types of of quests and levels. So, so that so that'll be fun. Um that is as of yesterday that is now all working quite well and um surprise surprise even with um the amount of testing that I'm doing I still can't do the easy level [snorts] but it is what it is.
00:14:30 - 00:14:55
I'm sure other people will. >> That's all right. That's all right. Um well that's a that's a good amount. Did you cover everything? Shooting gallery, deathmatch, delivery game. >> Death match. Well, I've not gone not spoke about the death match now. So, so this is a good leak. We've not spoke about this at all in global map, >> but that's not for this build, right? Deathmatch.
00:14:53 - 00:15:21
>> Yeah. Yeah, I think it will be. I think it will be. >> Really? I thought we were. >> Yeah, we're testing it right this moment. >> Okay. >> Yes. So, so, so what we what we have at the moment is people that have gone into global map, they will know global map is when when you're in Toledo and you go in the public transport, it flies you over to Solis, the center area and you and in there you have three three metro links.
00:15:19 - 00:15:43
One of them goes to Solace one, Solace 2, Solace 3. And if you go into the fourth cuz it's like a crossroads, the fourth one you have the lifts, the elevators that take you up to the apartments. Now, behind that medical center near near those apartments, as people might know, there's another way to get to instead of going the elevators, you can go through the maintenance tunnels.
00:15:39 - 00:16:09
That's where you shoot all the different ones. And in there, there is a PvP area that we've that is labeled PVP area. Um, that has now been enhanced. So, when you go in there now, you now split into two different teams, a red team and a blue team, and you have four minutes of just chaos. you can't leave the arena. There's a scoreboard and it's just yeah an enclosed PVP game.
00:16:05 - 00:16:32
So, so, so we're hoping that that'll be fun. And that only took about only took about 6 hours to build that because we already have built um a capture the flag game, but we don't have the artwork for that yet. So, that is coming in a future future build. But for [clears throat] this build, we've streamlined it and just turned it into a death match.
00:16:27 - 00:16:58
So hopefully >> yeah, another example of having a foundation where we've got locations, we've got artwork we can use in different areas and things scale fairly easily at that point. Uh potentially depending upon what it may be or in the case of uh quests, uh the the main foundational system work is done.
00:16:53 - 00:17:19
It's fairly easy to add on new and different quests. or in the case of crafting, the main foundational uh code is there. Now, it's just adding another 400 recipes, you know, that that sort of thing, >> which is which is where we're at. So, we're scaling out systems and then we're putting systems on top of systems. And once again, that creates an exponential value increase for the players, which is great.
00:17:16 - 00:17:39
So, the crafting is a good one to pick on because I think in game at the moment, there's there's three items that you can craft in in the current build that and and in this next build that's coming up, there's over 400 of them. And then there's a couple of quests that help you build some of them. But, yeah, go going around and discovering what all those 400 are cuz we're not going to tell you that.
00:17:35 - 00:18:00
You just have to get items and just try trial and error. And I'm sure people will have a little list somewhere and and go back. I just realized I forgot something. I I made a I I've been challenged by the community. >> Oh, what's that? >> To eat a Josh taco on cafe rise. >> Um >> Yeah, I thought it made up. But they're real.
00:18:00 - 00:18:24
>> Do I? >> I thought it was made up, but it's a real >> No, no, no. This was like this was a real thing that I did back in college when I was with a buddy of mine in Myrtle Beach on a kind of like a film internship. Um, and uh, you know, we were low on funds and scrapping by and you know, the Josh Josh taco was created.
00:18:20 - 00:18:40
He named it that, but I was because he he kept seeing me go to the microwave to heat this thing up and he's like, "What are you eating, dude?" >> I mean, we're a cafe, so we should do that. I I'll get I'll get Rob's bread and butter pudding because that that's that's that's a craft. >> Okay, please >> it game and you can have tacos.
00:18:38 - 00:19:08
>> Deal. Deal. Okay. So, next week >> next week >> or or next Cafe Rise, uh which might be next week, uh depending upon what where we're at with stuff. Um next episode, we we need to remember to bring the ingredients um for our our meal. >> We'll we'll show them or or Yeah, we or we'll take a picture of us eating because I I don't think people like to see people eating, >> right? Well, yeah, we'll we'll figure that out. Agreed.
00:19:04 - 00:19:29
We're not going to sit here and stuff our face. All right. Yeah. >> Um, okay. So, uh, I believe that completed the game update. >> Oh, no. Well, we got one more that that's that's on test as well, >> and that is the delivery game. We've spoke about this. Uh, this has been enhanced as well. So, this will start in the burger barn.
00:19:26 - 00:19:47
>> Um, there's actually three of these that again they there's one on level 25 and one on level 50. But the idea is that you go to the burger bar and then you have to deliver these these these food items to to these various drop off points. You follow the um you follow the marker on screen.
00:19:43 - 00:20:09
But now instead of just getting to this location and stopping, you'll then have a little puzzle on screen and you'll have to solve these three puzzles. They're dead easy. It's just like left, left, up, down or something like that. and and and then when you click them, you'll get an extra 30 seconds and then you can move on to the next target and then the next one and so on and so on and it'll be that'll be fun.
00:20:06 - 00:20:37
>> Yeah, that one we've we've definitely um announced the ex the extent but so so that is going into this build now. >> It's going in. Yes. All we're waiting for at the moment is um the actual delivery. At the moment it's just a box that the player puts on automatically goes on on on the player's back at the moment because obviously we're just building it. So everything's done in cubes.
00:20:32 - 00:20:56
But David showed us the design of of this delivery uh the actual delivery thing that's going in game. So So it's like >> which looks amazing. I love it. >> Yeah, it's like a it's like a drone with with this this big box and that will follow the player. So, it's not stuck to the player.
00:20:51 - 00:21:11
It'll just follow them >> quite close behind. I think the player can get away and then it'll it'll boomerang itself in. And I think I think it's going to look it's going to look amazing. It's going to look great watching people flying around with this thing, you know, following them and and it'll be a great game to play as well.
00:21:10 - 00:21:37
So, that's definitely >> Yeah. So, okay. So, we've talked about deathmatch, the deliveries, uh the new questing, uh additional questing, um shooting gallery, >> the apartments, >> and then also the apartments is that's still going. >> Y >> um and then you there was something else that you you mentioned that's not actually on the list.
00:21:36 - 00:22:05
>> Um >> no, I think that's it. >> There was one other thing, but I'm blanking. Okay. So, a good amount of Oh, the prisons. The prisons. >> Oh, the prisons. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Prisons are in the future, >> but the bounty system is coming in. So, >> yeah. So, that's a good amount of uh new fun in the next and that's just that's the little things that we've been able to do in parallel.
00:22:03 - 00:22:25
Uh and we also the 400 additional crafting recipes. So, a lot that's been happening in parallel while we're focusing on the big part of this release, which is the apartments builder. >> I mean, the team the team works together and then every now and again, we might have, you know, we're waiting on artwork.
00:22:21 - 00:22:48
What can I do? I can't do nothing till the artwork comes in. I've got two days. And it's like, well, if you can build this within two days, then let's see if you can do it. If you can't, then it might come in the future. And that's and that, you know, that's what happened with >> Yeah. And some are just going to have to come to the terms with the fact that if the debugging doesn't get resolved, it might have to get pushed to the following build because we've got to get these things out.
00:22:46 - 00:23:08
>> But but it's on the list. We know it's >> Yeah, exactly. It's fun stuff. So, this is >> um how you utilize your team when there's a bottleneck and you don't your your tasks are your play. >> Oh, the new hot zones coming as well. The new hot zone games coming to build. >> Well, there we go. That's a lot.
00:23:06 - 00:23:23
>> QA team better test it good. >> They are. >> I don't want this to I don't want this build taking two months to get out the door. >> I mean I mean for us it's like can you build it in two days? Yeah, of course I can. And and then QA is like we're working on the apartments. >> Yeah, don't worry about it. I'll test.
00:23:22 - 00:23:52
>> Yeah. the amount of stuff they have to test with just the apartments is is >> but the beauty is the the the beauty is what we used to do is is we used to hold these features back for ages and ages and ages you know and get them absolutely perfect perfect before we're releasing them but then you know it's kind of like well we're not we're not in the alpha version yet and we've got thousands of community members that are that are helping us with the testing anyway. Mhm.
00:23:50 - 00:24:51
>> And you know, this is actually a good point. There's over a thousand items in in those apartments and there just ain't no way that that our QA will be able to go and test combining everything together. So, so this is where we really need the community's help into to put in all and I'm pretty sure they will build all kinds of I mean we look at Snoo so we so so so so we we know that um the community are going to go crazy with those apartments and and find some bugs for us. In fact, in fact, yes, that's in fact David has told us, so we'll probably have to get this out up front, is we fully expect there will be bugs with the apartment system. So, we will very very very likely have to do um a
00:24:48 - 00:25:15
reset in the future of of of that system. So, so expect that. But, but that's okay. We've got thousands of items, so don't get too precious with with whatever you build. But, but but yeah, we we'll have we'll have to set those expectations early cuz this apartment system is huge. It's taken a long time to put together and we like I said, we could hold out for another 6 months and release it when it's absolutely perfect.
00:25:11 - 00:26:12
We're going to we're going to release it early. >> Yeah, agreed. Um, and so the the ask there for you guys, the community, is okay, just know that this is a very complicated new new release um when when it comes and that we want you to give us feedback um and let us iterate. Uh we're we're basically this is a huge advantage that we have as a web 3 game that we're building kind of along with you guys and uh we need your your feedback on how it's working and and then we'll do the hot fixes and and get things resolved and work through that uh together. Um so it'll be fun. I'm I'm incredibly excited about it. Well well that brings us to the end of the gaming segment. Um and it's time to bring David up on stage. So, uh, David, welcome to Cafe Rise, episode 153. It's good to have you here, sir. Nice hat.
00:26:10 - 00:26:34
>> I'm back. Uh, you'll have to excuse my voice a little bit cuz I was sick for a week, so I might sound a little funny and I might cough a little bit, uh, during this, so bear with. >> You're excused. Thank you for hanging in there. Uh, yeah, not not a fun thing when you're trying to work and and be sick.
00:26:28 - 00:26:59
When you're ill, does that affect the the drink that you drink? >> Uh, no, not really. It's still, you know, water bottle. That's that's probably the best thing when you're sick. So, I've had a little bit of the flu, but I don't know. I'm not a big medicine guy. So, >> yeah. >> Yeah. You know, David, of of the two people that are the worst with beverages on Cafe Rise, it's you.
00:26:57 - 00:27:21
>> Yeah. I'm pretty bad. And I'm going to come in probably second place on that. And I think both you and I could be cross-trained by Scruffy and Rob on drink variety and drink selection. Scruffy is the the winner. He's definitely the winner of the most creative drinks on Cafe Ro, but that's a whole other issue.
00:27:16 - 00:27:53
So, um, I want to go ahead and set up the table for for what we're going to talk about today, uh, David, and kind of walk you through, um, some of this, um, because it's, uh, it's exciting stuff. Um, we've got the next tier, the operator, uh, version of the next tier of the sale. Uh, and so many of you have participated with us and thank you for your participation with the with the founders packs, but now we're going into the next phase of this sale. It may have already started.
00:27:50 - 00:28:10
Uh, if it has, great. This is going to give you more context of what's going on. If it hasn't, it's coming very soon. Uh, but the operator sale is kind of what we're going to talk through here. And I think it's incredibly special. Um, they're they're not um all they're exclusive.
00:28:07 - 00:28:30
There are assets that that are not available in the founders tier that that you can only get in this tier. Uh so why don't we just go ahead and talk through some some of them. Is there is there one in particular you want to start with? You want to start with the AF >> 88C? Uh I I think I'm going to do it backwards to where you know it's maybe a little less exciting up to more exciting. I don't know.
00:28:27 - 00:29:28
I mean, people will find different values in these things, but uh I'm very excited for the operator bundle because it's like it's very it's very operator. It's very like matchy matchy. It all feels like it. I don't know. I I think the community out there is going to absolutely love this. >> When you say it's very operator, what do you mean? >> Well, it's, you know, if you want to move things around the world, you want to look serious, um it's you you like that sort of uh rough and tough aesthetic. Um, if you want to look like, you know, maybe maybe you're not Mr. Goody Two Shoes, but you are the you're the guy making things happen. You know, you're creating the economy pipelines, moving things around. >> Yeah, that's that's what the operator is about. So, >> okay, >> I can share my screen and we can go through these. I got some cool images for you. All right. Can you see my screen? >> Yeah. Get you guys off of here. So, what do we have here? Some of you guys might
00:29:26 - 00:29:50
recognize the design language a little bit, but um and a lot of you guys are probably familiar with the Tiger M9. You know, that is your AR style weapon that we have right now. This is from Bordon Lee. And uh you guys are probably familiar with Bordon Lee from the HD7. Uh but this is a compact assault rifle.
00:29:46 - 00:30:15
So this is the uh me tab over here. This is the Cesar, as I call it. The Cesar 5.56. Yeah, comparable to the Tiger M9. Uh, more compact though. You're gonna have a higher fire rate with the 5.56 cartridge there, but a little bit less accuracy. So, it's got some balance to it. And hey, this this color is in one of the mop suit colors.
00:30:10 - 00:30:36
You know, that sort of dark tealish sort of color. So, >> I love the branding for this weapon and the and the style. Uh, it's pretty sweet. What? >> Yeah, I like the way you the the way you can tinker with the settings on on these weapons and make some more accurate than others and you know that kind of stuff. >> Yeah, cuz that's totally what those settings do.
00:30:32 - 00:31:00
That's that was a British take on what switches do on the side of weapons. >> So, uh, on the audio for this weapon, did you use any of the real weapons that we shot? Any of those? >> Yeah, all of them. Yeah, all of them use those. So, um, >> yeah. So, for anybody that that's not aware, Jeff and I, one of the co-founders, went and shot about 50 different guns at a friend's ranch.
00:30:55 - 00:31:23
They weren't our guns. They all brought them. We shot them, recorded them so that we could use unique audio uh for our weapons, which is really, really cool. But that's not all that happened. We had to take those recordings, then get them to David, and then David has to do some processing and some work with them to make them more game ready.
00:31:18 - 00:31:40
So, it's it's a combination of completely custom recording with some of your modifications. Would that be pretty accurate? >> Yeah. Yeah. No, there's definitely some layering that has to go on um in those. So, sometimes we'll double up weapons or mix mix kind of the sounds of a few together.
00:31:35 - 00:31:58
we want to um you know I I look at you have certain games like I was playing like Grarezone Warfare and they're they're a little bit more I would say realistic with their weapon sounds but then a lot of players complain that they don't sound punchy or exciting enough and so it's it's a little bit of a mix of realistic and giving it that extra sort of action movie uh punch, you know, to make it a little bit more exciting.
00:31:57 - 00:32:17
>> Will this be >> Did you use any of the bolt action weapons audio? We haven't we haven't crossed those yet, I don't think. I don't know. There was you you guys >> Those were my favorite to shoot. >> Yeah, you guys recorded a lot of sounds, so it's all kind of like swirling in my head. So, >> yeah, it it was it was quite a bit.
00:32:16 - 00:32:34
Okay, go ahead. Go ahead. >> You want to move on? >> I was going to say, is this going to be in the next build? >> This one specifically in the the release coming up? No, most I I don't think any of these that we're showing is going to be in the release right up, but the one afterwards.
00:32:29 - 00:33:06
So, uh, some of them they'll you'll see them trickle in over time. We'll communicate with you guys what's what's coming up next. So, >> all right, >> let's move on to the thrust commander >> for people who take thrusting seriously. So, um, sorry, I couldn't I don't know why I just couldn't resist saying that. So, um, >> as you can see, you've got a rather large thruster, uh, a single thruster on this one.
00:33:01 - 00:33:30
And this is sort of has a hard shell base. I think we're already familiar with randos and the popular jetpack that has the twin engines on it. But, uh, this is for somebody that wants to get off the ground relatively quickly. Um, you know, maybe go to the moon. Uh, well, maybe not quite, but um, yeah, I mean, it kind of is what it is.
00:33:24 - 00:33:53
I I really like the reinforced steel on the repurposed gas cans that are holding a much more dangerous fuel of like liquid oxygen that's quantum compressed. >> Is that has it got a lot of fuel this one then? Uh, I would The thing is, if you look at the size of this thruster, typically you're going to have large fuel tanks if you're putting out like a lot of fuel.
00:33:49 - 00:34:11
So, I think this is more of a blast uh blastoff pretty quick, runs out a little bit quicker, but you get where you need to go. I think these will definitely be pretty useful in uh this like combat situations that are coming up, just getting up and out of the way quickly. So, >> it's PvP game.
00:34:06 - 00:34:34
I I'll be interested to to try this out in in the Aerot Trails game because because that that that often needs a a a good bit of speed >> blast you right through those rings. So, >> which reminds me, we have a new aerot trails in the pavilion level that's coming in next. >> Yes, we didn't cover that. Wow, there's a lot coming in this world.
00:34:32 - 00:35:00
>> I forget what we're putting in. >> You shorted your own list by about three. Yeah. So, uh, okay, good stuff. Um, >> on to the LoadRunner for people who take loads seriously. >> First time I've seen this, >> dude. Like, yeah, >> that's the name of a game. >> It's It's pretty long ago on car uh Commodore 64 Load Runner.
00:34:58 - 00:35:24
>> I did I did not play. Did you run loads in that game? I assume [laughter] it's >> the little button on the top. When you press it, does it go me me? >> So, I mean, this to me is like >> if you crossed a sharp shopping cart to one of those things you see at Home Depot uh to haul around wood um and maybe a hovering vehicle.
00:35:20 - 00:35:42
So, this is a mount actually, guys. It doesn't look like a motorcycle. It doesn't look like a hoverboard, but it gets the job done. So, you get on the back there, you grab onto those joysticks, you lift off, you can go into the, you know, go up to the mines or you can go uh woodworking or anything that you need to do.
00:35:38 - 00:36:03
You can pile up your stuff. This thing's going to hold a lot of cargo and there you are, Home Depot cruising. >> So, does it have like an interact button or something? Is that is that how you get it going? >> Yeah. Yeah. This is This is mount. So, players haven't seen mounts yet. Those are coming in the summer period is what we're going to work on when we get back to vehicles and hangers.
00:35:58 - 00:36:21
Uh these use a similar hover system to the vehicles, but it's a lot of the variables are changed. But these are for use in the hub city, uh for use in zones like Solos, Esperonza, Fortune. Uh a good way of getting your stuff around. So I can talk about mounts a little bit, but that's that's the goal behind mounts.
00:36:19 - 00:36:44
You'll be able to get those at a Nexus Go station. And um those the the whole reason for a mount is maybe getting you around the world a little bit faster than walking and having extra space uh for cargo. And this is uh the H2 LoadRunner. And this one is also uh will will certainly get the job done.
00:36:41 - 00:37:04
It's it's not sexy. I'll I'll admit that. But you know, it gets the job done. >> I love it. Have you been from the minds. You don't want it to look pristine. >> I like that it looks ready for work. And I I get the operator sentiment. You're you're talking like we're ready to do some work.
00:36:59 - 00:37:21
Participate in the economy of this this game, this world. >> You just see somebody just like riding down a mountain side in one of these, you know, just big old load on there. >> Yeah. When do we got an RPG? Cuz I'll be shooting them. >> Can it fit too? >> That was the next That was the next thought. Yeah.
00:37:17 - 00:37:55
you're you're doing this and somebody just plinks out >> somebody lift with this >> sits there that for five minutes >> that's that that could be an option standing on the front um you know it it's it's probably going to be very fast uh going along but yeah sure I guess you could give somebody a lift start your own taxi service picking up people in your uh little cart here >> yeah exactly >> all right >> on to the rugged M probably one of the cooler looking backpacks about a mediumsiz backpack that we have here.
00:37:50 - 00:38:21
Uh this is one of the rarities. You'll see multiple different colors of these specifically. Um it's hard shell uh which has a nice look. So those folks over there at Randos are doing a nice job of uh grabbing up scrap, repainting it, and redoing it to create something fresh here. So >> who did this backpack? >> That was that was me. you. Okay.
00:38:18 - 00:38:42
It's so I want you to like this one. >> I love it. I mean, yeah. >> Yeah. The the Rando's logo is it's almost like school um you know, like a royal stamp kind of thing. >> It's like injection molded. It's kind of that, >> you know, they send letters and >> Yeah. >> put like some ink around it. >> Yeah.
00:38:39 - 00:38:58
>> That's pretty pretty cool aesthetic. I know there's probably a lot of people that wonder too little like why would I have one of these when I could just wear a jetpack. There's going to be a lot more consequences for things in the future. Uh when it comes to gear, you're going to have to bring the right thing per the right situation.
00:38:53 - 00:39:13
So uh sometimes maybe it's not the best idea to always take a jetpack uh to get somewhere. Sometimes it's better just to foot it. But there's going to be all these balancers with uh you know especially weight of these different items that will come out in the future that affect how fast you move, how fast you aim.
00:39:08 - 00:39:30
Um, you know, if you got a big old jetpack that boosts you, you know, up and over a cliff, it's it's probably going to be a little heavy in a normal combat situation just to run around on the ground. So, and you know, they don't hold as much cardio either. So, >> and how how do these attach to the players? Because that looks quite heavy.
00:39:28 - 00:39:49
Are they They're like magnetized. >> We always do it as the magnetized thing because uh as I've said before, we've covered this a few times. Uh, like other games, we're definitely not dealing with the extra technical artload it would require to create straps going around every single unique outfit combination that a player could absolutely wear.
00:39:48 - 00:40:17
Maybe we'll do something like that in the future, but I think it's I think it's perfectly fine. Like game has to game sometimes. >> Magnus makes sense. >> Yeah. Yeah. I don't think anybody has to worry about it >> in contact with the world floating. >> All right, on to the cloud barge. So, um I think I got two I brought a couple of these to actually show, but show the side view here of the cloud barge also from Randos.
00:40:12 - 00:40:46
Uh some people are probably going to say, well, well, how big is it? How much does it hold? Very I would say this one is very similar in what it can hold to the new Bubble Jet Strato Lifter. It is a bigger vehicle than the Strat Lifter by a little bit, but that's cuz it's generally bulkier. What I really like about it though is because sometimes you might have surface threats when you're flying around cargo and things in the future.
00:40:40 - 00:41:08
Got this nice repurposed ship hole uh from the Atlantic here with these armor plates on it. So, you know, somebody wants to target you with a with a missile. You got some of those tan that want to blast you. This one might fare a little bit better than the the Strat Lifter. So now, of course, it's probably a little bit slower as well, but it, you know, it gets the job done.
00:41:04 - 00:41:34
So that the cloud >> I like >> the cloud barge. >> So >> yeah, >> who >> I'll be taking out the satellites first. >> You're you're moving a lot you're moving a lot of goods around with this ship. >> Yeah, this this is somebody that's definitely doing economical stuff. So you're, you know, you're not just somebody buying and selling between players at a town level or something like that.
00:41:29 - 00:41:56
The economy expands up from so this micro to macro thing. So you're you're kind of somebody going around at the hub city level. Uh you don't mind taking the extra taxes and fees because you're buying things in bulk uh to move from zone to zone. That's that's what I would say these are these are more for. Well, I think I think that the the idea of jobs is not it's something we've touched on, but we've not really talked about much.
00:41:52 - 00:42:15
But but yeah, this this could be a job moving things. Yeah, I mean there will be delivery missions for cargo that take you across zones as well besides your own trading. I mean, you could decide to buy a whole bunch of corn, right? Because corn is really needed in Espironza and you could you could buy it solless.
00:42:10 - 00:42:39
It's 10% markup in Espironza. maybe lower taxes somewhere and then you make a profit. Um so or you could do you'll have certain delivery missions that might have you hauling like rare cargo or specific things for clients. But um but yeah, there's the cloud barge. Uh I will say this is the mythic one which is a very piratey red and black.
00:42:34 - 00:43:01
So, if anybody likes to imagine themselves as a uh a pirate on the Atlantic, but with no water flying through the air, then that's that's maybe the color. >> And who is the manufacturer of this? >> Oh, Randos. Yeah, I thought >> Yeah, you know, there's a lot of shipwrecks on the surface, a lot of scrap metal, and whole even whole pipelines coming from even the east coast and parts of Europe.
00:42:56 - 00:43:29
So, um yeah, it's an incredible construction. You can see little parts that came off of actual ships uh on there. I'm sure other people can point those out. But uh big old engines. Pretty pretty cool machine. This just in, folks. I've been doing a little I just kind of I got to keep my tabs on things happening in the realm of uh Infinity Rising.
00:43:21 - 00:43:59
the the the tier two operator sale will be uh launching after this cafe rise is published on uh nice so so coming soon >> they get a chance to get the goods 20 minutes from now >> y >> all right and of course this one um all of the bundles come with a version of the mopsuit uh you get the legendary with this one and I think the olive green color is fantastically matchy matchy with everything else that comes in here makes you look a little bit more serious.
00:43:55 - 00:44:17
Also like it with the orange accents uh that you have, that's the male and the female. So for those of you that don't totally know, you're getting a male and female. You're getting two outfits uh with with each bundle. >> Does that mop M O P does that stand for anything or is that just a a name? >> Mobile uh hold on, let me remember.
00:44:15 - 00:44:42
There there is there is a reason for this. Uh it is mobile operations uh protection platform by core dynamics. So that's that's what it stands for. But you know just calling it the mop is great. So it's my mop suit. Definitely sort of a a trooper. >> You put it on to go and clean up. >> Yeah. All right.
00:44:37 - 00:45:10
I'm gonna skip over that that first one and we'll come back to it. This is the AF88C Dongo. And um this is actually vintage. It's over 50 years old. So, uh in the actual lore, these are some of the fighter jets that were originally commissioned and designed to defend the domes during the ascension process. So, uh 1965 up to uh about a decade or a little more afterwards, you had all these domes coming off the surface.
00:45:08 - 00:45:29
That's an actual fighter jet uh that they were using to defend the domes because a lot of people had problems with certain people getting chosen to go here in a dome. Certain people left on the surface. There was there was a lot to defend during that time period. So, um and you might ask, well, it's a fighter jet.
00:45:25 - 00:45:55
Doesn't look like a fighter jet. Well, fighter jets don't need wings in our world because they have genes. They have anti-gravity technology. But I think this is a pretty cool looking machine. And >> oh my god, yes it is. >> It's Yeah, the there is machine guns on the front. And I know the first thing everybody's thinking right now is like, hey, can I fire those machine guns? Well, those have been disabled by the military before they retired this thing to civilian.
00:45:50 - 00:46:11
Will you be able to use them in the future? Maybe. But >> yeah. So, so the fronts with the guns, I was looking at the pointy end as the front with the pointy end. >> No, no, no. Yeah, it kind of I don't know. It kind of looks to me like a Star Wars Episode One Starfighter uh had a baby with a pod razor. >> I thought they had binoculars at first.
00:46:11 - 00:46:35
That's >> This isn't the answer I was pushing for in our conversation >> on the uh on the guns. You don't want them to ever use the guns? >> No, I want them to use the guns. >> Oh, yeah. I mean, I'm saying that yes, in the future, but not right now. That's that's what I'm saying because there's some days >> development stuff that's that's got to go into that.
00:46:31 - 00:46:54
uh you're also you know you might be going a thousand miles an hour firing guns. So there's a lot of technical and network implications with that and there's probably question disabled for the the racing side of things >> for now of course unless >> but if that was made into a to a 2D game to to go in the arcades that you could have in your apartment.
00:46:52 - 00:47:28
It could be like a galaxian. >> Yeah, I could see like little sidescroller thing. But >> did you guys ever put together models? >> I did. Paint them plastic using super glue and painting them and all that stuff. >> I'm seeing this going, "Wow." Merchandising along with the bubble jet >> some point. Some point >> you see it in a box with a little Rell label [laughter] on the side and it's, you know, it's got all the pieces and stuff. Yeah. Did lots of those.
00:47:24 - 00:47:44
>> Very cool machine. Um, I did a very uh I wouldn't I wouldn't say probably a little bit of AI slop here, but just to kind of give you an angle, you know, you you want the AI to do something cool. And it's like I'm pretty sure that you just gave us two engine fires [laughter] going on there.
00:47:40 - 00:48:00
But, um, kind of gives you a cool angle of it flying through the air. Uh, very tough machines, too. It's an S-Class racer. Uh, so it's got quite a bit of speed. It's probably got it's got bigger engines than your average S-Class racer, but it's kind of heavy. This thing actually has armor on it and things like that.
00:47:56 - 00:48:25
So, uh that's why, you know, it needs such big engines. >> Yeah. So, there you go. >> Down easy. >> There is the drongo. >> Wow. The >> Yep. Here it is in gray, too. You'll see a couple different colors. Um I do think the mythic color is is very very cool. It's almost has that piratey vibe going on again when you know when you guys see that.
00:48:24 - 00:48:48
So, >> it's amazing. >> It's got to be and what to me it's one of the coolest I think it's one of the coolest flying vehicles we've had so far. >> 88C. >> Yeah, it's pretty sweet. >> Um, >> that's it. That's that's really all I had to show. So, >> well, >> I mean, was that enough? >> I mean, that's that's that's gorgeous.
00:48:44 - 00:49:16
Um, God, so exciting. >> And is that the operator tier? >> That is the operator tier. And boy is it I mean you really look like you're operating. >> You get all of them in in that bundle. >> Yeah. Yeah. And uh you know of course certain ones of those are exclusive uh which those will be marked. So >> as in you can't get them individually in the future but but some >> right they're only for that specific tier and when they're run when they run out they're gone. That's for eternity.
00:49:15 - 00:49:44
Oh >> eternity. >> Yeah. I know. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. another way that we get to because you know in in the future we have to we're going to have to gradually increase the quantity over time as we get a flood of new players in of what uh is available for sale. Right? So um these early quantities, total quantities are they're a reward.
00:49:39 - 00:50:07
It's a more rare item for those that are participating with us early. >> Yeah. >> Um which is which is pretty cool. in addition to obviously the discount, the bundle discount and things like that and the discount before we do, you know, whatever's left of this one when it launches to mainstream. Uh we're going to reopen it for sale at a higher price uh than than is being offered currently.
00:50:04 - 00:50:35
So enjoy everyone. We're launching that after this uh episode. So hopefully you guys have fun with that and enjoy this weekend, etc. Um okay. Uh Rob, I think you had a few questions for us and that was our leak. >> Yeah, questions leak, I guess. >> That combined with some announcements of new games coming as well with our new new little [clears throat] new fun.
00:50:32 - 00:51:00
>> Yep. Episode 153. And I think we've had community questions in every single one of of our videos. This one is from Ray Racer. He would like to know how many people would you want to try the alpha for you to consider this stage a success. Do you have a number in mind? Just the alpha, not the beta launch.
00:50:57 - 00:51:24
>> It's a great question looking at, you know, looking at a AAA launch. Um, you you've got to look at a wellunded company launch versus a company like ourselves that's bootstrapping and and uh putting out AAA quality but not in the same situation. Again, we're always trying to raise our marketing funds to have as best of a launch as possible, but you know, a good launch would be 100 to 500 concurrent players.
00:51:20 - 00:51:54
I mean, that's that's a that's a CCU. That's that's a a good average result. I we're obviously shooting for for much better than that. Uh we always want to do as absolute best as we can. uh it just depends on how much coverage can we get influencer-wise, how much marketing budget do we have to make this happen and um and how effective and efficient can we be with our marketing uh as we go.
00:51:47 - 00:52:20
And so, um, I think the the most exciting thing about what we have going, and I've I've even said it in the beginning of the episode, but is that we currently have people coming in from our adfunnels and from finding out from us about us wherever they're coming into our Discord community, from mainstream gaming, and they're joining our community and leaving the games that they were playing before because they see something special and something exciting.
00:52:16 - 00:52:38
And part of that is thanks to you guys. Our community and how you're embracing and welcoming people. So, thank you. Props to you guys. Seriously. Um, that is the culture that we wanted to create from the get-go is a community that is solid, that is friendly, that is, you know, people might think it's lame that we don't have cussing in there.
00:52:35 - 00:53:35
Well, what does that do? That that helps us to keep a very positive culture cuz things can spin off really quickly when you don't have some guardrails. We have a positive culture that's fun, that makes people feel welcome, and I think that that's been a huge asset for us. So, I'm Why do I bring that up in in in this answer? The reason I bring that up is because I think as we flood in the next 5,000 people that we have that are have filled out the early access form, let's say only 1,500 of them, you know, see the email and take action when we invite them into the game. Well, that's another 1500 people that jump into the game, uh, that can come into our Discord, etc., and they're they're having this experience that makes them go, I like it here. I want to stay. I want to keep playing. So, not only do we have an amazing community, we have a game that's coming into maturity with everything that we talked about that's coming in the next build, so much more for people to get excited about. What an amazing
00:53:33 - 00:53:58
time to get involved. So, I think we're going to get some word of mouth traction. Even if we have a small launch, the number of mainstream gamers coming in, if we have the game that the the just this experience that's currently that that people are having with what we're doing, then we're going to it it's just going to grow from there.
00:53:54 - 00:54:13
And so, there there's also some wisdom to what you brought up earlier, Rob, which is that, hey, we might have to gate it a little bit, too. We we might have to say, okay, we're just letting this in. We're going to control the the growth because we want to be sure that everybody has an incredible experience with the game as well.
00:54:09 - 00:54:39
So, um >> yeah, the number of servers we have will actually, you know, cap the the the potential of concurrent players. >> Uh potentially we'll we'll we'll be talking about all of that as we go for sure. But yeah, we have the ability to cap that. Um so, um yeah, great question. What else? Did you have anything else for me? I think there's one for David and another one for me maybe.
00:54:34 - 00:54:59
>> Yeah, I can ask David. The um me have a look. So, this one is from Hawk the mafia wants to know, is mining and woodwork coming soon after crafting or are we a ways out from the grind? Depends on what you think a ways out is. Um so there's, you know, we got the apartment release that's coming out.
00:54:57 - 00:55:18
That's a mini birds with one stone situation. Uh we're going to learn a lot from that. There's going to be some bugs. There's going to be some issues. Uh we're we're going to use the community for a big uh guinea pig testing on that one because, you know, we're trying to QA something this big. We don't have a QA team big enough for it.
00:55:14 - 00:55:36
So, community is going to be used for it. Then, we're there's heavy focus on riff and combat right now. So, those are two major components. Uh crafting will be expanded majorly uh in this release just coming up. And um you will be able to go to the mines and go to the logging areas and pick up wood and pick up ore.
00:55:32 - 00:55:56
We at least want to get that economy going. You're not having to go and do the work there. You know, maybe somebody's there with a sniper and they don't want you they don't want you to pick up the ore. Maybe maybe that's the only struggle. But we're getting the economy going. And um as we go into summer, there's a lot about free flight uh that's that's happening in summer.
00:55:54 - 00:56:55
So, flying from dome to dome, going through cloud gates, hopping in your own vehicle, you know, having fun in the air. You guys have seen a few videos of this flying in the air, the ability to haul deliveries from place to place towards going towards the end of this year, as I talked about before, is a um we continue an economy focus, and that's probably when you'll start to see more of uh mining and logging uh being really sorted out to where it feels like a really fun thing to do. You'll also see a lot of other things uh as well in that time. And then by the time we arrive at the end of this year, you actually have your uh micro to macro economy going. You have people hauling things around, people making deliveries, people doing combat situations. There's there's going to be things going on everywhere while everyone's creatively building at the same time. So, you'll be doing work on your plots. You'll be building in the apartment, hauling things around, crafting things, combat. I mean, there's just there's so much that's that's going
00:56:53 - 00:57:16
to happen. Uh, this is a major year for things to get put together. Next year is about expansion on a lot of those systems. Uh, custom dome stuff starts to show up and then you start seeing major polish passes on things as well. And always content expansions. You'll start to see more questing and story.
00:57:11 - 00:57:41
you'll probably start to see the uh episodes start to flow of you guys progressing the actual story of the game based on your actions. So there's I mean we're in a very exciting time right now for the game. I'm I'm super excited for >> I'm going to sneak another question quick question in from from Universalist who wants to know >> to complete that trio you know of of of wood and oes says fishing sounds like a great addition.
00:57:37 - 00:57:58
Can you share any timeline or development progress? not going to share a timeline of fishing. Uh fishing is uh that has a technical artload that we can't support at the moment. Um that's it's more difficult than mining, more difficult than logging. Uh and in fact, it's a whole game in of itself.
00:57:53 - 00:58:17
Uh the way we want to do it, the way we have it planned out. So, uh >> well, I will say that we have a pretty thorough plan that I've put together with Rob and gone back and forth with. Um I think you might have seen that. Um, but I put together what would be my ideal based upon um, having a good amount of fishing experience.
00:58:12 - 00:58:38
Um, and so there's that and I don't I think [snorts] you reviewed it and said, "Yeah, that's fine. We just can't get to it for a bit." But, um, we'll have to revisit that, but there's a good amount of planning done on it. Um, I Yeah, I wish I wish I could >> I love fishing personally. I mean, >> yeah, I wish I could accelerate it.
00:58:33 - 00:59:34
It's just with all the other major course systems, economy, bigger stuff, >> fishing's not like a super big priority right now. And we're going to get to it. Maybe we'll surprise you with it, but it's it'll it's it's going to happen. >> What? >> Just give me an idea. One one thing that I could say, David, is this is it when we could pull if there's a way to pull off just the super basic easy plop in a rod and and do a fish version, >> then um and that gets people just >> just the beginner version at some point, well then great. That if if that could come sooner than later, fantastic. But for the full-fledged what it's going to be like, you know, yeah, that's gonna that's going to take a bit. Yeah. >> Yeah. Of course, like anything else, you're going to get the early, more simple version of it. And then we're going to work on it, iterate it, get feedback, polish it, and then, you know, it becomes a a final product.
00:59:32 - 00:59:57
>> Yeah. It's going to be fun though. It's going to be fun. A lot of bodies of water. >> There is. Yeah. >> One more question. >> And there's not a game in the world where you fly from one place to the next to enter a different body of water >> to go fishing. Yeah. Yeah. this. I mean, there's a lot of things about us where there's no game >> that's like this.
00:59:53 - 01:00:22
So, that's that's our strength. That's for sure. >> Yeah. All right, Rob, it sounds like you had one more. >> Got one more question. I think we're going to do this one. This is from Dread Epsilon. Will we be able to buy up stores, companies in the game with IGC? Will we be able to stock up stock options in large ones like Bubblejet? Will we be able to buy create franchise locations like the Burger Bar? >> In-game trading sucks. Yes.
01:00:18 - 01:00:40
Uh, that's that's totally planned. Are you going to build a buy bubble jet? Probably not. [laughter] So now, could could you work in the economy, build up a pipeline with your buddies, many plots together, you're doing major manufacturing, you're creating the best best goods and things like that.
01:00:36 - 01:01:07
Could you be a major player and then sell that off to like another player? Yeah, you probably could. That I'm not going to say it's it's not possible. It's just, you know, it's major brands and things that are the, you know, there's also a backbone to the economy as well is that there's these algorithmic functions where you're not just competing with other players in the economy, you're also competing with Bubble Jet, you're also competing with, you know, even Randos.
01:01:03 - 01:01:31
it it's you know they're all a part of the economy and they're there for a they're there for a lore reason a stabilization reason and and for a little bit of dynamic play which we'll see in the future. I mean it could be that oh one of Bubble Jet's factories got hit by a terror missile that got burned down and now we have a you know now we have a steel problem or a shortage somewhere and players will have to interact with economy changes.
01:01:28 - 01:01:50
It's not a stale economy that a lot of games do where it's like, "All right, guys, just playerto player. This is whatever happens happens. A lot of manipulation happens. Ends up being not fun, super boring." You're part of a dynamic world. There's going to be economical situations that happen that might ruin your business even reaction.
01:01:48 - 01:02:05
>> And yeah, you can't own the Burger Barn, but the first job is coming in the next release. You'll be able to to to work for Burger Barn and go and deliver some of those. It's our very first job. So that's that's quite exciting actually. >> Yeah, you could provide the beef to Burger Barn in the future even.
01:02:02 - 01:02:32
You could you could do that. Uh you know, ranching. So um there's >> there's a lot of options. We're trying to keep things very and again we're not really building a game here. We are building a a digital civilization. That's That's >> And I think if you're against Burger Barn, like you don't like the idea of of of Burger Barn, you could actually disrupt their supply because as you see players delivering, [laughter] you could go and shoot them.
01:02:28 - 01:02:48
I mean, you might spend some time in in jail, >> go do a protest and interrupt their supply lines and start pushing bean burgers. >> Yeah. I mean, I've seen Linda playing. She loves it when she's trying to um you know, dart around here, there, and everywhere doing quests and people are shooting her.
01:02:44 - 01:03:09
There's some ideas and planning around actually you could have people protesting in game because I think we want to talk about this in a future episode like the idea of politics in towns and having government people voting >> deciding on taxes and we were bringing something that seems so horrible to inside of a game and letting players be part of that.
01:03:04 - 01:03:36
But can you imagine actually having elections in a civilization world like we have and then you actually come across a group of players that are trying to sway your mind with their you know actually protesting a >> well decent about a decent amount about some of this is is having some kind of governance and towns and things of that nature >> and I still want to lean on on that uh in the future.
01:03:30 - 01:03:54
Uh we we got feedback from the community on the governor idea which was which was all very valid but something in terms of governance with the collective collaborative growth of a community and direction of what happens with this community that's exciting to me. I think there's there's so much that we can do.
01:03:50 - 01:04:24
So I agree with your point uh you know having something like that where you can sway and be swayed and part >> I can picture it now actually because because you often when you get like these these um protests you get the two sides facing each other. So on one side you'll have all these people protesting the burger barn and then on the other side you'll have all these people with with the answer to that which is the meat grinder and and and we'll we'll see how that turns out.
01:04:21 - 01:04:43
>> Nicely done. Nicely done. >> Um okay well hey um I think that brings us to a really good conclusion. Thank you all for watching. David, thanks for joining us and I know that you have been under the weather preparing assets for this uh and uh dealing with all sorts of stuff. So, thank you for that.
01:04:38 - 01:05:07
Um we all appreciate you. Um and that a a lot of fun stuff coming everyone. So, after this episode, be sure to go check in on our marketplace and see what you can grab there for the operator bundle. And thanks for watching and we'll see you on the next one. Byebye. Welcome. You're here early. That's good.
01:05:03 - 01:05:40
Means there's something [music] special about you. We got a whole lot going wrong around here. You better [music] train up. We got terror knocking on our infrastructure and some mighty [music] strange occurrences going on. I'm afraid our world is at risk. Without people like you, cornucopas might fall into darkness.
01:05:37 - 01:06:13
Better get smart, get trained, and be ready. A storm is coming. I can feel it. I'd like to say we've been through worse, but this time I'm not so sure. Good luck out there. You're going to need every bit you can get. >> Children of the multiverse, you have crossed the veil through the gate to stand with us in cornucopia.
01:06:10 - 01:06:51
You have my appreciation. I am but a messenger, a guide sent [music] to show you the path that must be walked. But know this, the rifts are only the beginning. What you have seen is but a shadow of what is yet to come. The path ahead is dark, and the cost will be great. For the dangers [music] you face are not born of this world alone, but from beyond it.
01:06:47 - 01:07:23
Some of you will fight the tide. Others will build and restore. Some will weave knowledge while others will sustain through trade and creation. Strength, will and unity. These are the bonds [music] that will endure when all else is broken. Rise now. Stand against the tide. For infinity does not end. It begins.
01:07:18 - 01:07:53
Infinity is rising. [music] [music] Heat. [music] [music] Heat.
