Flying Vehicle Racing

From Riseopedia

History

As soon as gen cores made their way into vehicles and the birth of flying vehicles occurred the question of how fast someone can drive these new machines has been an always present matter.

Initially, the flying vehicle racing sport was a highly informal, unregulated and diverse landscape of events, meet-ups, tournaments and mini-leagues.

These coalesced and matured into more formal, rule based events that were hosted with regularity.

One pioneer in this area was Max Lachance. He climbed to fame by participating in the trying Canyon Racing and dominating the US Midwest racing scene. His major contributions to the sport were in sport regulation (notably the G-Core Safety and Protection Act) and building Calido Valley Raceway in Calido Valley.

At this time the sport is synonymous with the Cornucopias Racing League. This League is the biggest organizer and owns major venues like the legendary Calido Valley Raceway.
